Alabama does not have a statewide co-parenting education requirement, but courts in Mobile County require completion as part of divorce cases involving minor children. Mobile County's Pretrial Order (effective October 1, 2024) mandates both parties complete a 4-hour "Helping Children Cope with Divorce" seminar within 60 days of service. Our class is accepted by Alabama courts statewide.
Our 4-hour online co-parenting class covers effective communication strategies, child-focused parenting plans, and helping children adjust to family changes. You can complete the class at your own pace from any device with internet access. Upon completion, you'll receive an instant certificate with QR code verification that satisfies court requirements.
Both parents must complete the class in Mobile County divorce cases. The 60-day timeframe provides ample opportunity to finish our self-paced online program and submit your certificate to the court.
Alabama courts handle co-parenting education on a county-by-county basis. While no statewide statute exists under Alabama Code Title 30, Mobile County has established a formal requirement through its October 2024 Pretrial Order, and other counties may order parent education at judicial discretion.
